Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care in Brandon, MS is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiology equipment and perform diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians. You will follow established standards and safety practices to aid in diagnosis and treatment.

The role requires completion of an accredited radiography program and ARRT registration (or eligibility), along with BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
  • ARRT(R) registration or eligible, with registry within 120 days.
  • BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
  • State licensure as required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.
  • Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
  • Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
  • Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
  • Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  • Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
  • Completes assigned goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.

Minimum Required
  • Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.
