Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health is seeking a radiologic technologist to operate radiology equipment and perform diagnostic procedures in accordance with physician orders and established hospital standards.

You will select appropriate settings and positioning, document procedures, and maintain equipment and rooms to ensure patient and staff safety. The role supports quality improvement initiatives and requires ARRT certification or active eligibility, with a focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Experience through Radiology Technology Program.
• Registration by ARRT in Radiography (ARRT(R)) or waiting to registry.
• Associates degree in a related field.

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercises judgment in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develops an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan using hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and collects quality data.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by ARRT, with ARRT(R) registration

• Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.

• Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.

Minimum Required

• ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire. New graduate who will obtain required registry within 120 days of hire. State license as required.
