Job summary

McLaren Radiology is seeking a part-time radiologic technologist to perform imaging procedures and support patient comfort. You will operate radiology equipment, position patients, and ensure accurate images while following established policies and physician consults.

The role requires ARRT certification, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS. AMA-approved radiology training is preferred, with weekends and evening shifts common in this schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
• Certification in general radiologic technology by ARRT.
• Current BLS certification.
• Preferred: Associate degree in radiology.

• Gives straightforward explanations and instructions to foster comfort and confidence for patients.
• Operates and maintains all imaging department equipment including x-ray.
• Positions patients and uses radiologic equipment to capture requested images.
• Performs imaging exams according to policies and notifies physician on duty with results.

Schedule: 3pm – 11:30pm

Salary Range: $25.39 to 34.53

Position Summary: Performs a variety of imaging procedures consistent with established policies and procedures at a technical level typically requiring general supervision.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Gives straightforward explanations and instructions to foster a sense of comfort and confidence to patients and ensure the needs of individual patients are met.
• Operates and maintains all assigned imaging department equipment including but not limited to x-ray.
• Positions patients and uses radiologic equipment to correctly capture the images requested by a physician.
• Accurately performs all imaging exams as ordered in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws; ensures the physician on duty is notified of the results.
