Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a full-time imaging technician in Lapeer, Michigan, to perform a variety of imaging procedures under general supervision. This role involves operating and maintaining imaging equipment, capturing images accurately, and ensuring patient comfort through clear instructions.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and certification in radiologic technology. Health benefits are available within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Certified in general radiologic technology by ARRT.
• Current BLS certification.

Job description

Full Time 12 Hour Shift (10:30am-10:30pm)

Position Summary:

Performs a variety of imaging procedures consistent with established policies and procedures at a technical level typically requiring general supervision.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Gives straightforward explanations and instructions to foster a sense of comfort and confidence to patients and ensure the needs of individual patients are met.
• Operates and maintains all assigned imaging department equipment including but not limited to x-ray.
• Positions patients and uses radiologic equipment to correctly capture the images requested by a physician.
• Accurately performs all imaging exams as ordered in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws; ensures the physician on duty is notified of the results.
