Job summary

MEP Health is seeking a Radiology Tech to perform X-Ray and CT imaging with minimal supervision in a hospital setting. You will operate X-Ray/CT/PACS equipment, provide patient care, and ensure compliant imaging practices across locations.

The role requires ARRT radiography certification, CT certification within market timelines, and a BLS credential, with 2+ years imaging experience. Travel to facility locations and teamwork are essential to success.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program; ARRT certification in radiography required.
  • CT certification required within specified markets or within 12 months of hire.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years radiologic/imaging experience; CT and ER experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with imaging hardware/software and PACS; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS.
  • Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to facilitate accurate imaging and meet patient needs.
  • Perform imaging exams in compliance with policies, regulations, and laws, notifying physicians of results.
  • Assist with basic clinical procedures under physician or nurse supervision.
  • Maintain documentation, logs, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
  • Collect laboratory samples, perform tests per established protocols and regulations.
  • Ensure adequate supplies of reagents and consumables for testing.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, quality control, proficiency testing, and document analytic activities.
  • Perform ER technician duties as needed, travel to facility locations, and attend meetings.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned.
