Job description

Position Overview: This role involves performing a variety of imaging procedures, including CT scans and X-Rays, with minimal supervision. It requires providing technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet the needs of patients and healthcare staff throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS systems.
• Perform imaging exams in compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, notifying physicians of results.
• Assist with basic clinical procedures under the guidance of physicians or nurses.
• Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
• Collect laboratory samples, perform lab testing per established protocols and regulations, and ensure supplies are adequate.
• Conduct routine maintenance, quality control, proficiency testing, and record retention for at least two years.
• Support quality assessment activities and perform duties as an ER Technician when needed.
• Travel between facility locations and participate in staff meetings as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School diploma or GED; AMA-approved Radiology Technology program graduation required.
• Certified radiologic technologist as per state requirements and ARRT registration in radiography; CT certification required or obtained within 12 months (depending on location).
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in Radiology, 2+ years of imaging experience, including ER and CT experience.
• Proficiency with imaging hardware/software, PACS, and effective communication skills in English.
