Job summary

Ascension Franklin in Franklin, WI, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Diagnostic Radiology department. This full-time, day-shift role supports imaging services and patient care in a prominent health system.

You will capture high-quality images, manage radiation exposure with empathy, and ensure imaging studies meet the gold standard while maintaining a safe, well-functioning environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Cardiographic Tech or Radiologic Technologist credentials required.
  • ARRT or equivalent radiography credentials prior to hire.
  • State radiology licensure in Wisconsin required.
  • Medical Sonography credential (ARDMS) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-fidelity diagnostic images to aid precise diagnoses.
  • Manage radiation exposure with patient-safe imaging practices.
  • Communicate clearly with patients to ease the imaging process.
  • Oversee imaging protocols and ensure studies meet gold standards.
  • Maintain equipment safety and minimize downtime.

How you’ll make an impact in this role


  • Capture high-fidelity diagnostic images that empower physicians to make life-changing diagnoses with precision and speed.

  • Champion patient advocacy and safety by meticulously managing radiation exposure and guiding patients through the imaging process with empathy and clear communication.

  • Drive clinical excellence by optimizing imaging protocols and ensuring every study sent to PACS is a \"gold standard\" representation of the patient’s health journey.

  • Manage the technical environment by overseeing equipment integrity and safety standards, ensuring a high-functioning space where care is never delayed by preventable downtime.

  • Administer clinical protocols with precision, including the safe delivery of contrast media, while vigilantly monitoring patient well‑being throughout every procedure.


What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:



  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty.

  • State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required.

  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.


Education:



  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

  • WORK WEEK WED-TUESDAY

  • THE WEEKDAY HOURS ARE 1030A-9P

  • THE WEEKEND HOURS ARE 830A-9P

  • ESSENTIALLY A 7/70

  • ROTATING HOLIDAYS

  • Carm and Fluoro experience preferred
