Under the direction of the Radiologist and the supervision of the manager or supervisor, radiologic technologists perform radiographic procedures to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries. They are trained in services such as Fluoroscopy, OR, ERCP, Digital Radiography, Portable X-ray, Dexa Scans, and more, demonstrating competencies annually. The role focuses on producing high-quality images with minimal radiation exposure, performing procedures as prescribed by physicians, working effectively with patients and staff, maintaining accurate records, ensuring radiation safety, and complying with infection control, quality assurance, and equipment care protocols. The position requires meeting continuing education requirements set by the state of Ohio and maintaining ARRT and ODH licensure.
