Up to $19,000 Sign-on Bonus
Full-time position: 72 hours bi-weekly
Day shift: 3x 12 hour shifts, weekend rotation every 3rd weekend
Under the direction of the Physician/Radiologist and the supervision of the manager or supervisor, the radiologic technologist performs radiographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries. This position is responsible for performing quality radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician and in accordance with department policies and procedures. The technologist works effectively with patients and families to provide patient care, maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members, complies with infection prevention procedures, maintains accurate records, ensures radiation safety, participates in student education, orients new employees, performs quality assurance, cares for equipment, and performs other duties as assigned. The technologist utilizes proper radiation protection devices and monitors x-ray equipment for proper function. At some locations, responsibilities include admitting and discharging patients, taking vital signs and patient history, administering health screens such as EKGs, audiometric, vision, PFT, and drug screens, performing venipuncture, and administering injections under MD supervision. The technologist actively participates in customer service areas and communicates with clients and patients to resolve concerns and requests. They accept responsibilities of other staff, including supervisors, in their absence or as required.
