Job Summary:
Perform radiologic exams requested by physicians, transport patients, and perform clerical duties.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Protect patient confidentiality and computer access.
- Shred or remove confidential information as per policy.
- Keep passwords confidential and computers locked when unattended.
- Understand verbal orders and critical lab values, and know how to verify physician orders.
- Use standing orders when applicable.
- Conduct chart audits thoroughly.
- Participate in EHR reviews if requested.
- Communicate reports accurately to physicians and others as needed.
- Report sentinel events, adverse reactions, or incidents.
- Use approved abbreviations.
- Understand patient safety goals and actions.
- Report potential infectious diseases and practice hand hygiene.
- Verify patient identity before treatments and invasive procedures, and document appropriately.
- Reassess and document patient condition after interventions.
- Administer treatments promptly and document in EHR.
- Provide patient and family education, respecting patient rights and dignity.
- Be aware of spiritual care aspects and utilize ethics resources if needed.
- Complete annual education and participate in ongoing training.
- Operate EHR, scheduling, and filing systems effectively.
- Follow institutional policies on etiquette, dress, hygiene, and room readiness.
- Perform radiography, surgical procedures, CT scans, fluoroscopy, and portable exams competently.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to operate hospital equipment.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in Radiology.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), CPR certified.
- No prior experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking, standing, and physical activity including lifting over 50 lbs.
