Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications preferred within 3-6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct equipment warm-up and quality assurance procedures.
  • Assist physicians during procedures and document accurately.

Job Summary

The invasive Cardiovascular Technologist is a vital member of the patient care team, collaborating closely with other care providers to ensure continuity of care. The role emphasizes patient/family-focused care, understanding and meeting customer needs, and maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Cath Lab Offers:
  • Advanced technology including Philips and Siemens X-Ray systems, IVUS, OCT, and Intra Cardiac Echo (ICE)
  • High-Risk Coronary PCI Program: Intravascular Lithotripsy, Atherectomy, Impella, IABP, ECMO
  • Structural Program: TAVR, Valve therapies, ASD/PFO closure, Adult Congenital Heart program
  • Peripheral Program: Carotid stenting, BPA, Pulmonary Embolism Thrombectomy, EKOS
  • Pediatric Program in collaboration with Boston Children’s Hospital
Responsibilities include:
  1. Conduct equipment warm-up and quality assurance procedures
  2. Assemble and verify operation of monitoring equipment, troubleshoot issues
  3. Follow Universal Protocol, identify patient and procedure, explain procedure to patient
  4. Maintain sterile conditions and adhere to safety guidelines
  5. Proper patient positioning, radiation protection, and fluoroscopy operation
  6. Monitor and record vital signs, analyze patient data
  7. Assist physicians during procedures
  8. Document procedures accurately and maintain knowledge of related topics
  9. Remain current on trends, participate in education and research
  10. Provide on-call coverage and flexible scheduling
  11. Assist in post-procedure patient management
Qualifications:

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor's in Cardiovascular Technology or related field, or
  • Associate's in Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology with ARRT certification and Massachusetts license

Certifications:

  • BLS and ACLS within 3-6 months of employment preferred
  • RCIS preferred

Location: 90 Blossom Street, Onsite

Hours: 36 weekly, Day shift
