Role

As a Radiology Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will support our imaging team by:

• Producing x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist, ensuring clear and undistorted films. Positioning and instructing patients regarding x-ray procedures.
• Performing x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by Emergency Department and nursing units.
• Processing films for radiologists' reading/interpretation following established procedures.
• Communicating with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in-person and via telephone.
• Maintaining X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; ensuring preventative maintenance is performed regularly; contacting outside service for major malfunctions according to guidelines.
• Promoting effective working relations and working effectively as part of a department/unit team to meet goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications Radiology Technologist

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and meeting the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current license/certification in the state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications Radiology Technologist

• At least one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience

Minimum Qualifications Radiology Technologist II ($34.06-52.55/hr)

• Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current license/certification in the state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association

Minimum Of 2 Years Radiology Technologist Experience

• Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team
