Job summary

HCA HealthONE Aurora in Aurora, CO is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and provide high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced setting.

Under Radiologist supervision, you will perform radiographs for patients across ages, explain procedures, ensure safety and quality, and maintain ARRT certification and BLS. The role serves ED, inpatient, and outpatient populations with strict protocol adherence.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program with current ARRT certification.
• Maintain active ARRT registry with continuing education.
• BLS must be current.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing patient transfers.
• Preferred 2 years of acute care experience.
• ARRT-R Radiography credential.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body areas.
• Perform x-ray procedures under Radiologist supervision and explain procedures to patients.
• Serve ED, inpatients, and outpatients and adhere to established protocols for all ages.
• Maintain technical and patient-care skill and ensure quality diagnostic results.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Department provides a broad range of services to aid in the screening, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and emergent injuries. A few responsibilities of our Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) include:

You will operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.

Under the supervision of a Radiologist, your role performs x-ray therapy on patients and explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.

Your role will serve patients in our emergency department, patients in our hospital, and outpatient patients in need of services as well.

You will perform procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric.

Your role will be responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results.

What qualifications you will need:

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program with current certification by ARRT.

• Must maintain current registry by attending continuing education activities to maintain knowledge and skill level.

• BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.

• Prefer 2 years recent acute care experience.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
