Job summary

Advocate Health's Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a full-time Radiology/X-ray technologist for the Radiology: Xray department in Charlotte, NC. The role involves 40 hours per week with a 7:00a-3:30p schedule, plus on-call and holiday requirements.

A sign-on bonus is eligible based on criteria; pay range is $28.55–$42.85 per hour. Must be ARRT registry eligible with BLS and have full radiologic technology education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
