Advocate Health's Atrium Health Union Radiology department in Monroe, NC is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for full-time 36 hours per week, with a schedule including Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday shifts. Qualifications

• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
• Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. May be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in operating radiologic equipment. Vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.

Education
