Qualifikationen

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Must possess current Radiography License as required by state board where services will be provided.
• MD: MD license radiography required by Maryland Board of Physicians; OH: Ohio Dept of Health; PA: no state licensure; WV: WV Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board.
• Must be Nationally certified by ARRT upon hire (MD/OH) or within six months of graduation (PA); WV upon hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• State and federal background checks as applicable.

Aufgaben

• Rotates in all diagnostic areas (Fluoro, Mobiles, Routine, OR, Endoscopy, Orthopedics).
• Performs imaging procedures based on patient status, service requests, and imaging protocols; supervised as needed.
• Produces high-quality images using imaging equipment and archiving systems; selects exposure factors based on patient size and condition.
• Minimizes radiation exposure via shielding, collimation, inverse square law, and minimizing repeats.
• Maintains anatomy, physiology, and pathology knowledge to optimize procedures and patient care.
• Educates patients about radiographic procedures and answers questions.
• Promotes teamwork within radiology and with other staff to deliver efficient care.
• Completes in-services and competencies by required dates; positions patients per protocol.
• Supervises and trains radiology students in clinical settings per policies.
• Ensures all essential steps in imaging are completed; performs medical assisting duties as assigned.
