Allegheny Health Network seeks a Radiography Technician to perform prescribed imaging procedures under the supervision of a technologist. You will position patients, select parameters, and assist with imaging results and documentation.

The role emphasizes adherence to radiation safety standards, accurate record-keeping, and readiness to support the Radiology team in a fast-paced clinic environment in the Pittsburgh area.

Qualifications

• Presently enrolled, and in good standing, in a radiology technologist program.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association) is required.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate required.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate required.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to perform imaging.
• Completes all required documentation for procedures, e.g. regulatory, billing protocol and image distribution.
• Implements radiation protection and safety standards.
• Assists the Radiology Technologist by attending to the patient's comforts/needs, expediting patient flow and documenting the patient's clinical information.
• Maintain adequate supplies for efficient section/department operations.
• May also assist in the preparation of contrast media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
