Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and support department operations. The role includes participating in quality initiatives, reviewing protocols, and mentoring learners within a busy imaging service.

Required ARRT certification and BLS, plus a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience (6+ years can substitute). Sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and BLS are required for this radiology role.
• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years experience; 6+ years can substitute.
• Healthcare environment knowledge and patient care skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures and image production per physician orders.
• Lead department huddles and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with examination protocols, policy review, and workflow coordination.
• Serve as a clinical/technical resource and mentor learners.
• Coordinate shift staffing and coordinate with senior technologists.
