Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Radiology Tech II for the Diagnostic Radiology OR in the evenings in Richmond, VA. The role requires ARRT and BLS credentials, a bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 4 years of experience (6+ years can substitute for education).

The candidate will lead department huddles, support protocol reviews, manage shift staffing, and mentor learners while contributing to ongoing quality and safety initiatives within the modality.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and BLS required.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 4+ years experience; 6+ years may waive education.
• Clin III status before 7/1/2023 exempt from the education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures for diagnostic imaging.
• Lead daily department huddles as assigned.
• Assist with examination protocol reviews and revisions.
• Coordinate work assignments, workflow, and staffing for shifts.
• Initiate service calls and follow up until issues are resolved.
• Mentor learners and contribute to process improvements.
