Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health seeks a Radiology Technologist Diagnostic to perform radiographic procedures and support licensed practitioners. The role requires ARRT-R registration, BLS, and at least one year of experience, with a preference for candidates with a JRC-accredited program and a bachelor’s in radiologic technology.

Responsibilities include obtaining optimal images, applying ALARA principles, documenting orders, and assisting in fluoroscopic and interventional studies.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R registry required.
• Current ARRT BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• One year of prior radiologic technologist experience.
• Graduation from a JRC Accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures.
• Determine radiographic exposure factors.
• Assist licensed independent practitioner with fluoroscopic and interventional procedures.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Receive, relay and document imaging orders in the medical record.
• Educate and supervise students and learners in the Radiology environment.
• Participate in quality assurance activities.
