Job summary

Prevea Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures per Radiologist protocols. The role includes basic lab work and phlebotomy, ensuring patient care and safety in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Minimum graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program with 1–3 years of clinical radiology experience; ARRT certification, WI Radiographer license, and CPR/BLS are required at hire.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited or approved program in Radiological Technology required
• 1-3 years current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology; student experience may be considered in lieu of one year preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform general imaging; may include Orthopedics
• Position imaging equipment and adjust techniques by patient body habitus
• Record, process, and maintain patient data in EMR and PACS
• Complete image processing procedures and QC testing per Radiologist protocols
• Apply radiation safety measures to comply with regulations for patient and staff safety
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions or concerns
• Perform phlebotomy and basic lab tests as ordered by providers

Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance to the Radiologist protocols. They follow established radiographic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety. The Clinic Radiology Tech also performs basic laboratory functions including phlebotomy and some basic lab testing

What you will do

• Performs general imaging that may include specialty imaging such as Orthopedics
• Position imaging equipment and adjust techniques as appropriate to patient body habitus
• Record, process, and maintain patient data within the electronic medical record and PACs System.
• Completes all image processing procedures and QC testing. Follows Radiologist protocols to ensure images are of diagnostic quality.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devises to comply with government regulations to ensure the safety of patients and staff
• Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients’ understanding and address any questions or concerns
• Perform phlebotomy and basic lab testing as ordered by providers

Education Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited or approved program in Radiological Technology Required

Experience Qualifications

• 1-3 years Current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology. Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year current clinical experience Preferred
