Job summary

Prevea Health in the Green Bay area seeks a Back Radiology Aide for full-time work. You will rotate across 3–4 imaging sites, prepare patients for procedures, assist radiology staff, and help ensure smooth daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma/GED and 1–3 years of customer service or healthcare experience, a team-focused attitude, and basic medical terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years experience in customer service, insurance, and/or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with a caring attitude for patients and co‑workers.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to radiology desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet radiology patients, escort to changing room, obtain history, and transport to exam rooms.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment to meet infection control standards by following cleaning protocols.
• Stock and order supplies to ensure appropriate levels in each room.
• Enter patient data and images into PACS/RIS, including outside images and merges.
• Burn CDs for patient care and enter Release Of Information; ensure radiation safety compliance.

Back Radiology Aide - Full Time - Green Bay Area, Wisconsin, United States

Position: Full time, 32 hours per week.

The position will rotate 3‑4 sites in the Green Bay area to learn a wide scope of the Radiology Aide role and Imaging Department.

Job Summary

The Radiology Aide at Prevea Health assists the radiology department by preparing patients for procedures, assisting technologists, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Room radiology patients by greeting the patient in the waiting room, showing them to the changing room, instructing them on how to change for the exam, taking patients' history, and transporting patients to exam rooms.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment to meet infection control standards by following proper cleaning protocols.
• Ensure appropriate levels of supplies for each room by stocking and ordering when needed.
• Record, process, and maintain patient data within the electronic medical record and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), including importing outside images into PACS and making appropriate changes/merges.
• Burn CDs for patient continuing care and enter Release Of Information.
• Use radiation safety measures and protective devices to comply with government regulations and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Schedule and check in patients as they arrive, verifying necessary information.
• Enter x‑ray orders into Radiant (RIS).
• Maintain General Imaging & Mammography schedule, look up prior exams in various databases, and request outside studies when necessary.
• Prepare x‑rays/CDEs to be sent to other Prevea sites and outside facilities using proper consent forms.
