Job summary

Prevea Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography and basic lab tasks in a PRN capacity. The role involves patient interaction, image capture, data entry in EMR/PACS, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Required ARRT certification, WI Radiographer license, and BLS/CPR. 1–3 years of current radiology experience preferred; graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures per Radiologist protocols.

• Follow radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff.
• Explain procedures and address patient questions.

Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance to the Radiologist protocols. They follow established radiographic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety. The Clinic Radiology Tech also performs basic laboratory functions including phlebotomy and some basic lab testing

What you will do

• Performs general imaging that may include specialty imaging such as Orthopedics
• Position imaging equipment and adjust techniques as appropriate to patient body habitus
• Record, process, and maintain patient data within the electronic medical record and PACs System.
• Completes all image processing procedures and QC testing. Follows Radiologist protocols to ensure images are of diagnostic quality.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devises to comply with government regulations to ensure the safety of patients and staff
• Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients’ understanding and address any questions or concerns
• Perform phlebotomy and basic lab testing as ordered by providers

Education Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited or approved program in Radiological Technology Required

Experience Qualifications

• 1-3 years Current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology. Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year current clinical experience Preferred
