Job summary

Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH) seeks a Radiology CT Technologist to operate our CT scanner, imaging head to extremities under radiology direction. You will work with radiologists and the Director of Radiology to deliver accurate scans in a patient-centered environment.

Preferred CT certification; strong interaction skills, teamwork, and independent work in a fast-paced clinical setting are essential. Onboarding includes a three-day orientation and potential travel reimbursement per policy.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Registered in radiography.
  • CT certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a CT scanner to image head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine and extremities.
  • Provide patient-focused imaging services with accuracy and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and staff to ensure quality imaging and patient care.

Job description

This position is eligible for a commencement bonus of $7,500.00, with 50% payable at or around the hire date and the remaining 50% payable after six (6) months of continuous employment.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the radiologists and the supervision of the Director of Radiology, operates a Computerized Tomographic scanner to image the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremities.

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $32.41/hr - $40.51/hr - $43.76/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's applicable experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

Essential Requirements

Must be a graduate of an American Medical Association-approved school of radiologic technology and be registered in at least radiography. Additional certification in computed tomography is preferred. Training and/or experience specific to radiology practices regarding neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients are required and must be willing to cross-train in additional imaging modalities. Proven ability to interact effectively with patients, co-workers, practitioners, and visitors, willingness to work in a team-oriented environment, ability to work independently, and effective communication skills are required. Familiarity with computer applications is required, Meditech Health Information System is preferred, and must have technical aptitude and a willingness to learn software applications.

Additionally, if Weeks Medical Center is not your designated home base, you will be eligible for travel reimbursement in accordance with our standard travel policy.
