Job summary

A comprehensive healthcare network in New Hampshire is seeking a Radiologic Technologist responsible for operating Computerized Tomographic scanners. The ideal candidate must graduate from an AMA-approved program, be registered in radiography, and have proficiency in imaging various patient demographics. Effective communication and teamwork abilities are essential, along with a willingness to work on-call. The role offers opportunities for further certification and training in other modalities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Training and/or experience with neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Preferred certification in computed tomography.
  • Willingness to learn software applications.
  • Willing to cross-train in additional imaging modalities.
  • Good interaction with patients, co-workers, practitioners and visitors.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication and ability to work independently.
  • Familiar with Meditech HIS and general software applications.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call duties including nights, weekends and holidays.

Job description

Job Summary

Under the direction of the radiologists and the supervision of the Director of Radiology. Operates Computerized Tomographic scanner to image the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremities.

Essential Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an American Medical Association-approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Must be registered in at least radiography. Additional certification in computed tomography is preferred.
  • Training and/or experience specific to radiology practices regarding neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients are required.
  • Must be willing to cross-train in additional imaging modalities.
  • A proven ability to interact effectively with patients, co-workers, practitioners, and visitors is required.
  • Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment is necessary. Effective communication skills are required. Ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with Meditech Health Information System is preferred. Familiarity with computer applications is required. Must have technical aptitude and a willingness to learn software applications.
  • Sharing on call duties is required including nights, weekends and holidays.
