Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM seeks a day shift, full-time Radiology-A Diagnostic Imaging Technician to perform routine diagnostic imaging procedures and support patient care.

You will adhere to policies for patient safety and may provide clerical support in the department. Qualified candidates will have an accredited radiologic program graduate, NM license or ARRT eligibility, and BLS certification, with preferred BS degree and hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Sciences or graduate of Accredited Radiologic Program.
• ARRT or registry-eligible; Employees licensed by NM prior to 1972 are grandfathered and exempt from ARRT requirements.
• Candidates with a temporary license must obtain a permanent license within one year of hire.
• Radiologic Technologist Certificate issued by the State of NM.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science Degree.
• Preferred: One year of related experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic imaging procedures in the assigned area and as requested by a licensed medical provider.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety.
• May provide clerical support for the assigned department, including filing, maintaining records, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and entering data into the computer.
