Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System at Olathe Hospital is seeking a Radiology Assistant to support CT imaging. The role includes assisting technologists, transporting patients, and observing patients before, during, and after imaging to ensure timely exams and patient comfort.

You will access data in EMR/O2/PACS, coordinate with nursing and radiology staff, prepare rooms, and assist with scheduling and supply management. A high school diploma is required; BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate (GED not required after Feb 2026).
• Experience with acute/ED care is a plus.
• Proficiency with computer systems to access patient data.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient imaging preparation and transport.
• Observe patients and report changes to clinicians.
• Coordinate information between nursing and technology staff.
• Enter and review patient data in O2 and PACS.
• Prepare imaging rooms and maintain supplies.
• Provide patient education about radiology procedures.
• Retrieve electronic folders and access reports.
• Support CT area and ensure timely imaging.
