Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in the Lehigh Valley region seeks a patient-focused Radiology Support Associate to assist in delivering timely imaging services. You will handle registrations, ensure accurate orders, and support daily workflow in Radiology.

Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians, maintaining patient safety, and upholding quality documentation and equipment readiness in a fast-paced environment. Weekend shifts required; onsite at Muhlenberg campus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Less than 1 year experience in a customer service role.
• Ability to display a compassionate, positive, and upbeat disposition in interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Basic computer and typing skills.
• Interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days.

Responsibilities

• Confirms physician orders are complete and includes signature, ordered study, reason for test and obtains missing information prior to treatment.
• Ensures coordination of daily work duties and communicates any necessary information.
• Documents LMP, fluoro time, radiologist, appropriate history and all other required documentation.
• Confirms levels of supplies and equipment to meet requirements for patient care and/or specific departments.
• Maintains accurate information in the database; performs all clerical/computer functions to support patient care.
• Ensures the safety and efficiency of movement and transportation of patients within and to and from departments.
• Ensures images have crossed into PACS before study is complete.
• Performs registrations, as required.
• Assumes responsibility for cleanliness and sanitation of the immediate work area and maintains orderliness.
