Job summary

Qualifications

• Required: Knowledge of basic office and patient care procedures, medical terminology and communication skills.
• 3 months of related experience required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient flow; prepares patients for exams and relays information to appropriate resources.
• Uses computer systems to verify patient information and prints daily schedules; assists in scheduling exams.
• Prepares rooms with equipment and assists technologist with procedures; cleans equipment after procedures.
• Assists technologist on portable X-ray rounds and positions patients as directed.
• Demonstrates sensitivity to patient needs and assists patients with bathroom or bedding as required.
• Notifies and coordinates with Patient Transport to minimize delays and ensure timely transport of patients.
• Confirms appointment times and provides prep, location, and registration details to patients.
• Monitors and orders supplies to maintain par levels; handles cassette maintenance.
