Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems in Richmond seeks a Radiology Technologist Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the Radiology area, ensuring high-quality diagnostic procedures and adherence to ALARA principles.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, education development, and collaboration with the Modality Manager to maintain safety, efficiency, and cost-effective care across Diagnostic and specialty services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of Lead Tech radiologic technology experience.
• Minimum of three years of technical experience.
• Experience in leadership role preferred.
• Academic medical center experience preferred.
• Graduation from a JRC Accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations for assigned radiology area and ensure staff competency.
• Ensure compliance with ALARA and ARRT guidelines and VCU/VCUHS policies.
• Develop staff education and competencies and provide education to team, students, residents and learners.
• Report to the Modality Manager and drive high-quality, safe, efficient care.
