Job summary

VCU Health in Richmond, VA seeks a Radiology Technologist Supervisor to oversee daily operations in the radiology department. This role ensures high-quality imaging, adherence to ALARA and ACR guidelines, and regulatory compliance while managing staff education and performance.

The supervisor collaborates with lead technologists, managers and faculty to maintain safety, cost-effectiveness and teamwork; weekend/after-hours coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required for Diagnostic Supervisor
• Minimum of one year as Lead Tech radiologic technology
• Experience in radiation safety and ALARA principles is preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations for the assigned radiology modality.
• Ensure procedures follow ALARA and ACR guidelines for imaging and MRI safety.
• Develop staff education materials and competency assessments; provide ongoing training.
• Collaborate with Radiology Supervisors and managers to maintain safety, quality and efficiency.
• Cover unplanned absences and participate in after-hours coverage when needed.
