Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in an assigned radiology area, ensuring ALARA principles, regulatory compliance, and high-quality imaging. The role involves supervision, program development, and implementing new policies.

You will work with lead technologists and managers to maintain safety, efficiency, and cost-effective care, reporting to the Modality Manager and coordinating across modalities as needed.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required for Diagnostic Supervisor with related specialty registries.
• Minimum of one year of Lead Tech radiologic technology experience.
• Minimum of three years of technical radiology experience.
• Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology recognized by the ARRT.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Radiation Science preferred; Master’s Degree in Health Administration or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision for the assigned radiology area.
• Ensure all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed by qualified staff.
• Develop staff education and competency materials.
• Implement new initiatives, programs and policies within the modality.
• Collaborate with lead technologists, managers, and faculty to maintain safety and high-quality care.
