Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to oversee daily operations, ensure patient safety, and maintain regulatory standards within the radiology department.

The candidate must graduate from an accredited program in nuclear medicine, radiologic technology, ultrasonography or MRI technology, hold BLS, and be registered or certified by ARRT, ARDMS, AMRIT, or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited nuclear medicine, ultrasonography, radiologic technology, or MRI technology program.
• Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
• Or registered with ARRT in Nuclear Medicine; or ARRT in Radiology; or ARDMS; or AMRIT for MRI; or ARRT for CT; or ARRT for Radiologic Technology; or ARRT for Mammography.
• Three (3) years of clinical experience.
• Must hold Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates the daily activities of assigned department including budget, personnel, patient care, and regulatory compliance.
• Acts as a liaison between their assigned department and the referring physician's offices.

Graduate from accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program

Graduate from accredited Ultrasonography program

Graduate from accredited Radiologic Technology program

Graduate from accredited MRI Technology program

Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certified

ARRT NM registration or ARRT Radiology registration

ARDMS registration (Sonography)

ARRT MRI registration or AMRIT

ARRT CT registration

ARRT Radiologic Technologist registration

ARRT Mammography Technologist registration

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification

REQUIRED

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program, accredited ultrasonography program, accredited radiologic technology program or accredited MRI technology program.
• Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board;
• OR Registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT);
• OR Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS);
• OR Registration as a MRI Technologist by ARRT or AMRIT;
• OR Registration as a CT Technologist by ARRT;
• OR Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by ARRT;
• OR Registration as a Mammography Technologist by ARRT.

Three (3) years of clinical experience

• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED

• One (1) year of supervisory experience.
