Job summary

HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's in Denver is seeking an Imaging Student Extern.

Under the supervision of radiologists and technologists, you will perform procedures per established protocols, maintain patient care, and assist with contrast administration and preparing sterile trays. You will learn on the job, build hands-on experience, communicate clearly with patients and staff, and support imaging room setup, patient transport, and room turnover while upholding safety and confidentiality

Qualifications

• ARRT eligible or in accredited radiology program.
• Current BLS required from AHA or ARC.
• Must be currently enrolled in a Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be in senior year of Radiologic Technology program.
• Familiar with majority of diagnostic radiology procedures with high manual skills and dexterity.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Vocational School Graduate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, and assisting with positioning communicating clearly and compassionately
• Safely transport patients between areas, supporting their comfort and emotional needs during procedures
• Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment
• Serve as a vital connection between patients, technologists, and the care team by communicating needs and concerns promptly
• Take ownership of your growth by participating in learning opportunities and following safety and confidentiality standards
