Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence - Memorial Campus is seeking an Imaging Student Extern to assist with radiologic procedures under the supervision of registered technologists. The role emphasizes hands-on learning in a clinical setting, PACS workflow, and patient positioning in X-ray exams.

Required: full-time student in good standing in a radiologic technology program and AHA BLS certification. This on-site externship offers exposure to advanced imaging technology and a collaborative healthcare team

Qualifications

• Full-time student in good standing in an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Preferred: Computer skills for PACS (digital imaging).

Responsibilities

• Assist technologist with imaging procedures and position patients for X-ray exams.
• Follow department procedures, safety standards, and QA programs.
• Collaborate with Radiologists to ensure smooth department operation.
• Document patient history and care in radiology records.
• Ensure equipment readiness and cleanliness of work areas.
• Monitor supplies and assist with exams as needed.
