Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis is seeking an Imaging Student Extern to support imaging services under the supervision of a registered imaging technologist. You will perform tasks learned in class and during clinical rotations at a Tenet Hospital, contributing to patient care and imaging workflow.

You will work with radiology staff, follow department policies, and gain exposure to X-Ray imaging, patient positioning, and documentation while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Full-time student enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program or recent graduate.
• BLS certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologist with imaging procedures and position patients for X-Ray exams.
• Adhere to department policies, safety, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Radiologists to ensure smooth department operations.
• Prepare documentation recording patient history as needed.
• Ensure equipment function and clean work areas.
• Perform other related duties within capabilities with reasonable accommodations.
