Job summary

Mission Hospital is seeking an Imaging Student Extern to gain hands-on experience by learning from experienced team members who are committed to your growth. You will be a valued member of the team, contributing insights and helping deliver care that keeps patients comfortable and confident throughout their imaging journey.

You will prepare patients for imaging, transport them safely between areas, and assist with setting up rooms and managing supplies to maintain a clean and efficient

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, and assisting with positioning.
• Safely transport patients between areas, supporting comfort and emotional needs during procedures.
• Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment.
• Serve as a vital connection between patients, technologists, and the care team by communicating needs and concerns promptly.
• Take ownership of growth by participating in learning opportunities and following safety and confidentiality standards.
