Job summary

Backus Hospital in Norwich, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks a Supervisor of Diagnostic Imaging Schedulers to lead daily scheduling across all modalities and oversee scheduling teams at Backus and Windham Hospital.

You will drive improvements to align scheduling with referrals and clinical capacity, and partner with imaging managers, Compliance, Finance, and billing to maximize reimbursement while monitoring coding accuracy and resolving denials.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in healthcare scheduling and billing/coding required.
• 至少3 years experience in healthcare scheduling and/or billing/coding; supervisor preferred.
• Experience with PACS and digital technology.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily scheduling activities across all Diagnostic Imaging modalities.
• Oversee the Diagnostic Imaging Schedulers for Backus Hospital and Windham Hospital.
• Drive improvements to align scheduling with referral source expectations and clinical capacity.
• Partner with imaging managers, Compliance, Finance, billing and coding teams to optimize reimbursement.
• Track procedures for coding accuracy and address root causes, denials, write-offs and charge edits.
