Saint Peter’s Health Care System is seeking a Radiology Scheduler Temporary in New Jersey. The role involves scheduling across Radiology modalities, explaining procedures to patients, and maintaining scheduling standards with a professional demeanor.

The position requires 1–2 years of experience, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask under pressure. Proficiency with computers and medical terminology is preferred. Training will be provided to new staff.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
• Team-oriented personality fostering workplace cohesiveness.
• Proficient computer skills; 35 wpm typing; strong basic office skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred; ability to read and interpret physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Schedule radiology studies (Diagnostic, CT, MRI, Special Procedure, US, Mammography, NM) and coordinate with departments.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions or refer to technologist/physician as needed.
• Maintain scheduling standards and professional communication with staff and physicians.
• Assist in orientation and training of new employees and run reports as directed by Radiology leadership.
