Job summary

Saint Peter’s Health Care System is seeking an Image Processing Assistant for the CT Unit. The role handles patient reception, imaging request processing, phone inquiries, and coordination with Radiology Scheduling, including patient transport. Strong communication, basic computer skills, and medical terminology knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong administrative and memo writing abilities.
• Superior communication with patients and internal/external customers.
• Must be computer literate and able to adapt to new systems.
• Able to communicate technical information to individuals or groups.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive patients and their families and direct them to the appropriate areas.
• Process all radiology imaging requests.
• Answer phones.
• Backup to Radiology Scheduling staff; schedules routine appointments and explains necessary preparations with accuracy.
• Patient transport.
