Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Radiology Scheduler to manage daily patient and exam scheduling for Radiology and Vascular Lab using RIS Scheduling and Cerner EWS. The role involves insurance authorizations, coordinating scheduling, and ensuring timely pre-admission testing and follow-up with referring physicians.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or equivalent experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Competenze

• Associate’s degree and at least 1 year of customer service experience in a medical/healthcare setting, or 2 years of customer service experience in a medical/healthcare setting
• Critical thinking and problem solving with strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and communicate clearly in writing and speech

Mansioni

• Coordinate high-volume, complex scheduling for Radiology using RIS and EWS.
• Ensure appointments are set with pre-admission testing and referrals.
• Reschedule pre-admission testing and exams to maintain patient flow.
• Provide patients with exam instructions and directions.
• Communicate with physicians, staff, and outside facilities as needed.
• Identify patients needing financial navigation and refer to the appropriate team.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and hospital policies.
• Complete required training and compliance activities.
