Job summary

Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital is seeking an Imaging Scheduler to prioritize and schedule patient examinations and provide pre-exam instructions. The role includes handling phone calls and directing inquiries within the Riverton Imaging Administration unit.

Key duties involve coordinating emergency and add-on exams with staff and radiologists, guiding patients on exam prep, and serving as a liaison with physician offices for preps and information; strong customer service and data-entry

Qualifications

Experience using computers in an office setting or data entry.
Demonstrated customer service experience.
Medical terminology or training (preferred).
Experience in a Radiology setting (preferred).
Bilingual (preferred).

Responsibilities

Schedules patients for examination and gives instructions regarding exam preparation.
Coordinates emergency and add-on examinations with technical staff and radiologists.
Prioritizes patient examinations and coordinates multiple examinations with other areas.
Provides information concerning examination content, pre-examination instructions, and timetables.
Acts as a liaison between physician offices and department concerning needed preps, medical necessity, information, and problems.
Answers calls that come into the department and routes them to appropriate personnel.
