Job summary

UVA Health is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for the Internal Traveler Program, offering 13-week assignments with potential to extend up to 39 weeks, across imaging and radiology support roles.

Responsibilities include providing procedural sedation for image-guided procedures, pre/post-care, and monitoring MRI patients with cardiac devices; internal travelers gain exposure to an academic health system.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Experience: Varies.
• Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. ACLS certification required within 6 mos from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide procedural sedation for patients undergoing image guided procedures (CT, US, Fluoroscopy), including pre and post procedure care.
• Assist with monitoring MRI patients with cardiac devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators (ACLS required).
• Provide general support to Radiology Department.
