Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a Radiology Nurse in Charlottesville to provide procedural sedation and clinical support for CT- and ultrasound-guided procedures, MRI studies, and peri-procedural care for adult and pediatric patients.

You will work with radiologists, anesthesia providers, and the health care team to ensure patient safety, comfort, and clear post-procedure communication. A BSN and Virginia RN licensure, plus BLS, are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required within 5 years of hire.
• 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
• Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia; AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide procedural sedation for CT- and ultrasound-guided procedures and assist with biopsies and drain placements.
• Monitor and support MRI procedures, including patients with pacemakers/ICDs and claustrophobic patients.
• Collaborate with radiologists, anesthesia teams, and interdisciplinary colleagues to deliver safe, efficient care.
