Job summary

UVA Health is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for the Internal Traveler Program, offering 13-week assignments with potential to extend up to 39 weeks, across imaging and radiology support roles.

Responsibilities include providing procedural sedation for image-guided procedures, pre/post-care, and monitoring MRI patients with cardiac devices; internal travelers gain exposure to an academic health system.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Experience: Varies.
• Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. ACLS certification required within 6 mos from date of hire.

Physical Demands

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

Pay

The pay rate for this role is $82.00 hourly. This position is compensated at a fixed rate. Compensation is established in accordance with the position's approved pay structure.
