Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Virginia RN license and BLS certification required.
• BSN within 5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures, including assessment, intake, and education.
• Perform sedation administration and continuous intra‑procedural monitoring.
• Support image‑guided procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and drain placements.
• Monitor patients during advanced imaging, including cardiac MRI and pacemaker cases.
• Assist with MRI sedation workflows and CT imaging needs, including port access and patient coordination.
• Provide pre‑procedure communication and post‑procedure recovery monitoring.
• Escort patients through different phases of care, ensuring safety and a seamless experience.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and fellow nurses in a fast‑moving, supportive environment.

The Role

As a Registered Nurse in Radiology, your day is dynamic and patient‑focused, blending procedural care, imaging support, and continuous clinical assessment. On an Average Day, You Will

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
• Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
• Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Physical Demands

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
