Job Description

The Radiology Resource Assistant (RRA) position involves supporting the delivery of patient care under supervision of registered technologists, nurses, and radiologists. The RRA assists in patient transport, room preparation, and communication with patients and staff. Responsibilities include maintaining supplies, supporting patient flow, and ensuring a clean and organized radiology environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of experience in a patient care setting (including student or volunteer experience)
• Good communication and organizational skills
• CPR certification prior to working independently

Functional Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment and room management, including stocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff, provide patient updates, and assist with wayfinding and patient preparation
• Transport patients safely, assist with transfers, and support clerical tasks such as delivering supplies and uploading CDs into PACS
• Adhere to safety, departmental policies, and participate in ongoing education

Organizational Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork, communication, and a commitment to quality improvement
• Use resources efficiently and promote safety in the workplace

Salary Range

$44,033.60 - $88,088 annually
