Advocate Health Care is seeking a PRN Registration Clerk for the Radiology department at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA. The role interviews patients, collects demographics, verifies addresses, and processes registrations with attention to privacy forms and insurance documents.

High school diploma required; healthcare or business experience preferred; six months in a related field recommended. This on-site position offers non-benefits eligibility and flexible scheduling.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Post secondary education in a business related field.
• Six months or more working in a related field; ability to use office equipment such as computer, fax, phone and copier.

Responsabilidades

• Accurately interviews patients and obtains or edits all required demographic information.
• Implements patient assistance based on age specific requirements; contacts interpreter for non-English speaking patients.
• Verifies with patient complete mailing address and correct spelling of address.
• Completes registrations timely, following procedures on “problem orders.”
• Obtains patient signatures for consent for treatment, notice of privacy practice, financial assistance, appeal form pharmacy form; gives patient copy of forms.
• Accurately enters insurance information; obtains and scans copies of insurance cards, picture ID, and Physician Orders into system.
• Informs patient of co-pays and deductibles due, collecting deposit on account; completes collection fields in Star.
• Obtains UB92 information, entering Occurrence Code, Occurrence Span and Condition Code in computer.
• Identifies appropriate accident accounts and files “accident in house liens.”
• Verifies RTE on Medicare to ensure eligibility dates; scans verification into system.
• Verifies procedures and diagnosis codes in Omega on Medicare patients; completes ABN and scans waiver if needed.
• Verifies Worker’s Compensation information and notifies insurance clerk for follow up.
