Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification is required or will be provided free of charge through Lake Regional.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of the need for customer satisfaction, promotes, and provides patient-focused services, and is responsive to the needs of all customers.
• Engages in creating and maintaining a positive, ethical and productive department and workplace that contributes to achieving progress on LRHS culture and strategic initiatives.
• Performs duties professionally, effectively, and in a timely manner to ensure cost-efficient and safe operation of the service provided while complying with all employment laws and regulatory agencies, including Federal, State and TJC.
• May assist with complaint resolution and maintain a professional attitude and behavior.
• Responds to change with open communication and a willing attitude. Possesses the ability to work with other hospital departments in a collaborative manner.
• Assist patients or lifting patients into wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Transport patients to various locations in the hospital for medical procedures or to an exit and assist with patient moves on and off the exam table.
• Comfort patients and their family members by offering support and encouragement.
• Comply with health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Provide information and directions to patients and visitors.
