The University of California - Los Angeles Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support patients and technologists in the Radiology Outpatient Center. You will help create a welcoming experience and provide hands-on support to the care team in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will patient rooming, assist with exams, maintain clean work areas, document in the EHR, answer phones, and coordinate patient flow across the center while ensuring safety and quality care.

Qualifikationen

• Medical assistant diploma/certificate required.
• BCLS certification from Red Cross or AHA required.
• Knowledge of symptomatology and life-threatening conditions.
• CPR ability and medication administration skills.
• Ability to obtain vital signs and manage refills.
• Care in emergencies and routine procedures.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems.
• Strong communication with patients and staff.
• Orientation of new staff and inventory management.
• Adherence to policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Willingness to work across front and back office.
• Knowledge of MSDS and emergency treatments.
• Ability to work overtime and contribute to a smoke-free site.

Aufgaben

• Provide compassionate patient care and help coordinate patient flow throughout the Radiology Outpatient Center.
• Serve as a flexible member of the care team, supporting various practices and patient care needs across the center.
• Assist technologists with patient rooming, gowning, screening, and preparation for exams.
• Safely assist patients with transfers to and from examination tables and support proper patient positioning.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked work areas to promote efficient patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document information in the EHR as required.
• Answer phones and assist with communication within the procedure area.
